Mangold III Stefan Beck David Ellis Tamera Allred Stacy Rust Sam Lackey Overview: This semester (SPR2020) has been impossible to secure potential dates & times during the week when more than three committee members are able to meet. This problem has been frustrating, and is due in large part to the chairs (Bergey) excessive course overload the past two semesters, which have resulted in limited available times during the week for meetings. To get around this problem, we have had virtual meetings and relied on communication via email. Points: (1) Committee members are continuing their review and update of the assessment website, identifying blind links, and redundant information. This includes rewording and clarifying some of the language in the faculty course assessment forms, which have been a source of concern for faculty. Blind weblinks (2) Committee members reviewed every faculty course assessment submitted last year and submitted comments on potential improvements for process and form. (3) We have begun our review of course assessments for 2019-2020 annual report. This review will be ongoing through end of semester. Summary will be submitted with annual report. (4) GBC Accreditation review is scheduled for March 30-April 2, and is still planned to occur, as of 3/15/2020. Due to the Corona virus pandemic, it is anticipated that the Accreditation review will be a virtual site review, rather than live on site. More information will be forthcoming as the situation develops. (5) Committee members have discussed current policies, and are considering recommendations on improving processes of adjunct review, and new hire mentoring.
